XPOSURE AFTER SCHOOL INSTITUTE - GREENBURGH
The goal of Xposure is to provide a quality program that is safe, interactive, informational, and life expanding.
To meet the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and recreational needs of children, our program will:

Offer fun, enriching, age-appropriate and recreational activities that help promote confidence, self-esteem and responsibility.

Provide children a safe and secure environment staffed by warm, competent, caring and qualified child care professionals

Provide a relaxed atmosphere where children can socialize and make new friends

Provide a nutritional snack

LOCAL/REGIONAL COLLEGE TOURS

DATES: Scheduled dates will be made available

FEE: $10.00 (each scheduled tour)

The Department of Community Resources, realizes the importance of post high school endeavors afforded to our youth within the Town of Greenburgh. FIRST AND GOAL CLUB

1st and Goal Club is a youth development program where students will have the opportunity to build self-confidence, mature, and grow as a young adults. Here they will receive the tools needed to develop good healthy behaviors, improve work ethics, and overall acquire skill sets that will assist them in navigating through youth adulthood. Topics will include: proper hygiene, appropriate and respectful behaviors, organizational skills, goal setting, responsibility, and many more. The program will offer a variety of guest speakers that will engage students with hands on activities as well as trips.
GIRLS DESTINED FOR GREATNESS

Girls Destined For Greatness is a group to empower & encourage the young female of today. Empowerment is a process of facilitating, instilling, and providing the means for girls to overcome the obstacles they may face in today’s world. We teach the importance of encouragement; which is the action of giving someone support, confidence, inspiration, motivation and hope. We want our youth walking away from our program knowing they have a group of supporters and that they should strive to reach their full potential. Finally, our girls will understand the value of giving back to the community and always lending a helping hand when applicable
COMMISSIONERS' YOUTH COUNCIL

The commissioners' Youth Council is a new program designed to train and empower youth as Ambassadors to the Commissioner's Office as well as the Department of Community Resources. Students will engage in relevant current event conversations and practice their presenting skills to the group. All CYC members will engage in a multitude of Volunteer Work and Community Service Projects. On a quarterly basis, members of the Youth Council will have an opportunity to meet with the Department of Community Resources Commissioner and discuss relevant topics to the school community. We welcome students from all schools in the area. The members of the CYC will be selected by the Department of Community Resources Administration. iMATTER I (A Personal And Professional Leadership Experience)

iMATTER is designed to prepare youth for their future endeavors. This interactive program will incorporate personal development with standard leadership styles to properly prepare our youth for summer employment, post high school and navigating their way through adolescence. For those seeking 2019 Summer Employment
opportunities with the Department of Community Resources will be expected to participate with the iMATTER program.
iMATTER II (Continuing the Journey to Professional Excellence)
DATES: January 29th, February 26th, March 26th, April 30th, & May 28th, 2019.
DAY/TIME: Thursdays/ 3:30pm - 5:00pm
AGES: 14-18 years of age

IMatter II is a progression to the popular iMatter I program. It is a series where speakers from different career fields will come and speak about their careers. In this conversation they will bring to light the reason for their choice of career, what path they took to attain their career choice, and talk a little about their day to day work. This program will be offered to any student that has previously completed the iMatter program I. All sessions must be attended in order to qualify for full attendance credit.. For those seeking 2019 Summer Employment opportunities with the Department of Community Resources will be expected to participate with the iMATTER programs.
iMATTER III (Perfecting the Professional Skill Sets)

IMatter III is a continuation of the iMatter series (iMatter & iMatter 2) that continues the growth of the young professional. Students will learn interviewing techniques and take part in mock- interviews throughout the year. In addition to learning interviewing techniques, students will enhance their resumes to properly highlight their experience, skills, attributes, and personal growth. The program will offer guest speakers that will interact with the students through hands on activities as well as self-reflective methods.
MID-WINTER BREAK CAMP

Students will enjoy a deserved academic break while having fun at TDYCC’s Winter Break Camp. Here students will go on educational, fun, & exciting trips, as well as participate in fun activities here at the Center. Children must bring a packed lunch every day. The Department of Community Resources follows the Greenburgh Central School District Academic Calendar for vacation breaks.
SPRING BREAK CAMP

Here students will go on outdoor educational, fun, & exciting trips, as well as participate in fun activities here at the Center. Children must bring a packed lunch every day.
